ACAMS South Florida Chapter May 2026 Event: Major Sporting Events & Exploitation Risk – Prevention Through Financial Intelligence
Registration for this event is now closed. Please email chapters@acams.org for information.
Overview
The ACAMS South Florida Chapter is proud to host a timely and critical discussion on the evolving landscape of human trafficking and its intersection with financial crime, particularly as major global sporting and large scale events create heightened vulnerabilities for exploitation. This program will be held at LoanDepot Park (home of the Miami Marlins) in a space located near home plate, offering a unique setting that aligns the discussion with the very environments where these risks are often magnified.
The session will bring together industry experts and law enforcement professionals to examine current trafficking trends, emerging typologies, and the financial red flags organizations should be identifying. Attendees will gain practical insights into how traffickers exploit financial systems before, during, and after large scale events, what effective detection looks like in today’s risk environment, and how collaboration between financial institutions and law enforcement strengthens prevention and disruption efforts.
Registration includes full access to the educational program and an exclusive post event networking experience—capped off by watching the Marlins take on the Atlanta Braves. Come for the AML insights, stay for the ballgame.
Please note the event will observe Chatham House rules (it is off the record).
