Overview

On 21 May 2026 Moody’s, Protiviti and the ACAMS Netherlands Chapter will host an event on Sanctions.

Yvo Amar will explain the current and future legislation. He will present an interesting legal case and give insights into actual trends on international trade sanctions.

Wim Boer will provide insight in the tasks of the FIOD regarding the Dutch Sanctions Law. He will elaborate on investigations (audits), thematic reviews (off- and on-sites) and special investigations. He will present a case and give the audience insights into his work as an enforcer.

Hera Smith will explain the importance of having a clear policy and view on how to be compliant with international Sanctions as a financial institution. She will also explain his challenges and insights to the audience on implementation of advanced tooling within a financial institution.

There will be a panel discussion and Q&A session afterwards with the 3 speakers, and the audience will be moderated by Protiviti.
