ACAMS Colorado Chapter May 2026 Event: Human Trafficking: Enhancing Data and Skills to Combat Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation

Overview

In this two-credit hour learning opportunity, you will hear from two former law enforcement professionals on how leveraging data and employing analytical techniques can help you uncover illicit activity and effectively support law enforcement combat human trafficking and child exploitation.

The first session will focus on leveraging data and intelligence from organizations like the Child Rescue Coalition to strengthen Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) filings, enabling financial institutions to support law enforcement more effectively in combating human trafficking and child exploitation.

The second session will focus on analyzing the complex dynamics of financial transactions, relationships, and monetary flows across three distinct communities—domestic sex trafficking networks, Mexican communities, and Chinese communities—and examining how these analytical techniques have been effectively applied in real-world investigations to uncover illicit activities and support enforcement efforts.
