ACAMS Boston Chapter June 2026 Event: AI in Financial Crime & Compliance: Perspectives from the Front Lines

June 17, 2026 / 4:30PM–7:30PM EST In-Person 67 Prospect St Peabody, MA. 01960 1 ACAMS Credit

Overview

Join us for an in-person panel discussion moderated by Drew Goldfarb, featuring special guests from across the financial crime ecosystem. Panelists will bring perspectives from a financial institution, the regulatory community, and the advisory sector to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping AML and compliance programs. Rather than a traditional presentation, this session is designed as a candid, moderated conversation that reflects where the industry actually is with AI adoption — the wins, the challenges, and the open questions.

Topics will include:
•    How banks are deploying AI in AML transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer risk rating — and what real-world implementation looks like
•    Model risk governance and explainability — what sound oversight of AI-driven compliance decisions requires
•    The regulatory perspective — how examiners are approaching AI in BSA/AML programs and where guidance gaps remain
•    Advisory insights on separating high-value AI use cases from overpromised vendor solutions
•    What compliance professionals should be doing now to prepare their programs for continued AI integration
