Bob Hager has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.  He currently works as a Lead Business Consultant with NICE Actimize for 8 years working with clients to get the most out of their Actimize solutions on various AML projects.  Prior to joining NICE Actimize, Bob worked in various areas  such as Corporate Compliance, Financial Crimes, and Investment Services.  Bob served as the BSA/AML Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) Manager which included the alert, investigation, and EDD departments.  In addition, he led a BSA/AML Quality Assurance team for a large financial institution with a focus on retail banking.  He has experience working with industry regulators and internal audit.  Bob’s expertise has been in process and procedural development, private banking, insurance and investment services as a licensed broker and registered principal. He also helped author a KYC/CIP system for a regional bank that is still in production today.  Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Auburn University and has achieved the CFE and ACAMS certifications including a Co-Chair of the Atlanta ACAMS Chapter. He previously held his insurance license, as well as investment services licenses which included series 7, 24, 63 and 65. In addition, he has authored several industry specific blogs such as “Enhancing BSA/AML Quality Assurance with AI”, “Realizing the Potential of Operational Efficiencies in an AML Program” and “Evaluating Effectiveness: the Impact of a Rule Coverage Assessment on Transaction Monitoring Solutions”.  Bob also engaged in the 2024 ABA Conference as a panelist on “AML, Fraud and Technology: Successful Collaboration Between BSA,AML and IT”.

Nick Annan is a seasoned financial crimes and corporate investigations expert, currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit & Corporate Investigations at Truist. With over 15 years of experience in the field, he brings a wealth of expertise in financial intelligence, anti-money laundering, and complex corporate investigations.

As the Senior Vice President and Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit & Corporate Investigations at Truist, Nick is responsible for leading a team of highly skilled professionals in identifying and mitigating financial crimes and fraud risks. He oversees the development and implementation of comprehensive strategies to detect, investigate, and prevent a wide range of financial crimes, including money laundering, fraud, and other illicit activities. Under his guidance, the unit has successfully uncovered and resolved numerous high-profile cases, contributing to Truist's reputation as a leader in financial crime prevention.

Prior to his current role, Nick held several prestigious positions within the U.S. government and the private sector. He served as the Director at Fiserv, where he played a key role in strengthening the company's financial intelligence capabilities and enhancing its ability to detect and respond to emerging threats. Earlier in his career, Nick held various leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, including serving as the Assistant Director (acting) and the Special Agent in Charge at Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). In these roles, he led complex investigations and operations targeting transnational criminal organizations and high-level financial crimes.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Georgia, where he graduated with honors. He has also completed specialized training in financial crimes investigation, anti-money laundering compliance, and corporate intelligence.

Sean Murphy is a Data Scientist at Thomson Reuters Special Services specializing in the application of natural language processing, geospatial methods, and machine learning. At TRSS, he builds pipelines that power decision support systems for government and commercial clients. He holds an M.S. in Data Science from the University of Denver, and is passionate about combining data science and human expertise to address real-world problems.

I currently serve as the Victim Assistance Specialist for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). I have worked on human trafficking and child exploitation for 18 years. My area of responsibility includes all of Georgia and Alabama (and formerly covered North and South Carolina). In this capacity, I design and provide educational trainings and outreach to law enforcement, attorneys, mainstream service providers, and community-based organizations on human trafficking and child exploitation. Additionally, I am involved in the victim interview process and completing a portion of the immigration documents and relief available to human trafficking and child exploitation survivors. I work to establish collaborative relationships locally, statewide, and nationally. Prior to my work with Homeland Security, I worked for a non-profit, Tapestri, and served as the Anti-Human Trafficking Program Coordinator. In my past position, I provided trainings, outreach, and direct services/case management to foreign-born survivors of human trafficking. I have also worked on cases that involved immigrant and refugee survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and rape. In the past, I served as the Chair of the Department of Health and Human Services’ Rescue & Restore Board for 3 years and served as the Freedom Network’s Social Service Committee Chair for 3 years. I’m experienced in public speaking and have made many presentations for the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, Department of State, Department of Labor, and Department of Health and Human Services. I have also presented in other local, state, national, and international events and conferences. I have been fortunate to travel overseas to train foreign governments on human trafficking and child exploitation in Chile, Peru, Brazil, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, and Budapest, Hungary.

Ingo has over 25 years of commercial experience, ranging from product management. sales, consulting and management which he gained working in Europe and in the Americas.

He works in the Risk Solutions Practice at Thomson Reuters and interfaces with the largest financial clients in areas such as Enterprise Fraud, AML, Financial Crimes, Corporate Investigations, KYC & Onboarding, and Sanctions. 

He is a contributor to the Thomson Reuters Legal Blog, the Thomson Reuters Institute and various industry associations. 

 Ryan Heise is a Customer Success Specialist at Penlink, where he trains clients on Penlink’s OSINT investigation software. With over 16 years of experience across the national security and law enforcement intelligence sectors, his expertise lies at the intersection of emerging technology, analytic frameworks, and dismantling the operational networks of human traffickers and transnational criminal organizations.
Prior to joining Penlink, Ryan served for over a decade within various components of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Most recently, he was a Program Manager and Criminal Analyst at the DHS Center for Countering Human Trafficking (CCHT). During his tenure, he was instrumental in the formation of the Center and provided intelligence analysis for sex trafficking, forced labor, and forced labor in the supply chain investigations. He also provided operational support for several National Security Special Events to include three Super Bowls, two NFL drafts, and others.
Beyond DHS, Ryan has worked with the FBI, Department of Defense, and the Intelligence Community. He holds an M.S. in Digital Forensics and Cyber Investigations from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a B.A. in Intelligence Studies from Mercyhurst University.
