Maleka Ali, President of Arc-Serv (an Independent BSA/AML/CFT/OFAC consulting firm), has over 35 years of experience in the financial industry. Through key roles at several financial institutions, including serving as the BSA officer at three, Maleka has assisted in mergers, acquisitions, system conversions, and the creation of Denovo banks. She also had over a decade of experience at a major AML software vendor, where she learned the inside/out of AML monitoring systems.

She’s CAMS certified and was part of the inaugural class for the Advanced CAMS-Audit certification. Maleka has assisted over 750 institutions in BSA and OFAC compliance programs, model validations, risk assessments, exam remediation, staffing assessments, BSA/OFAC training and how to utilize automated monitoring effectively. She was a founding board member of the ACAMS Southern California Chapter and currently serves on the boards for the ACAMS San Diego Baja California and Hawaii chapters.

Christy Cornell-Pape is serving as Acting Chief over the Anti-Money Laundering and Cyberfraud Sections in Washington, D.C.  She has been in this temporary position for over a year.  When not in this role, Christy is a Supervisory Examiner in the San Francisco Field Office (10 years) and was previously Case Manager – Special Activities (16 years) in the San Francisco Regional Office.   Christy has been an anti-money laundering and fraud subject matter expert since 1999, first encountering fraud at several bank examinations in her formative years with the FDIC.  Christy is a native Californian who traversed from Southern to Northern California via Louisiana thanks to her husband’s penchant for higher education. (She IS still married.)   In her spare time, she is a performing artist, dance teacher, and dog mom.
