Overview

ACAMS invites you to a special afternoon program on June 3, hosted at Haynes Boone's offices at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. This event is presented in collaboration with Haynes Boone and the Sports Integrity Global Alliance. As New York and other host cities prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, this gathering brings together ACAMS members, financial‑crime practitioners, investigators, and industry leaders for a focused exploration of the rapidly evolving intersection between sports and financial crimes compliance.

With major global sporting events drawing unprecedented investment, attention, and risk exposure, this session will examine emerging compliance challenges, enforcement trends, and integrity threats shaping the sports landscape. Attendees will gain insight into how criminal networks exploit sports ecosystems, how regulators are responding, and what proactive measures organizations can take to strengthen controls ahead of 2026.

Keynote Speaker: Jeff Schlanger

Author, former Manhattan prosecutor, and founder of IntegrAssure, Jeff Schlanger has built a distinguished career at the forefront of risk, integrity, and law enforcement reform. His work includes prosecuting organized crime cases involving figures such as John Gotti and the Westies, leading oversight efforts following the LAPD Rampart scandal, and serving as the NYPD's first Deputy Commissioner for Risk Management. His perspective will anchor the event's discussion on safeguarding sports from corruption and financial crime.

Join us for substantive dialogue, expert insights, and valuable networking as we examine one of compliance's fastest‑moving frontiers and prepare for the opportunities and challenges the 2026 FIFA World Cup will bring.
