ACAMS Luxembourg Chapter February 2026 Event: Financial Investigations Lifecycle: From High-Risk Onboarding to STRs & Remediation
This event is fully subscribed. For enquiries, please email luxembourgchapter@acams.org.
Overview
This event will bring together practitioners from across the financial sector to examine how modern investigations are conducted in practice, where high risk onboarding, fragmented adverse media signals, cross border structures, evolving regulatory expectations, and the need to evidence risk based decisions increasingly intersect. Organised in cooperation with the event’s sponsor, Arendt Regulatory & Consulting SA, the session is designed to translate real world complexity into approaches that are both operationally effective and defensible.
The programme will feature a live case study presented by Arendt experts, offering a step by step view of how an investigation unfolds—from the first risk triggers and adverse media triage through documentation standards, escalation choices, and decision recording. Following the case study, a dynamic panel discussion will bring together experts from different parts of the industry. The conversation will distil lessons learned into a practical toolkit, highlighting how to strengthen internal processes without compromising investigative depth.
The event aims to provide clarity on how to embed proportionate, risk based practices across onboarding, monitoring, and escalation while meeting supervisory expectations. Participants will come away with a clearer understanding of how to document and defend investigative judgements; how to manage the end to end workflow for suspicious activity detection and STR filing; and how to integrate regulatory feedback into continuous improvement and remediation.
To ensure the dialogue addresses the issues that matter most, attendees will have the opportunity to raise questions during the session.
A networking reception will follow, offering a relaxed setting to continue the discussion and exchange experiences with peers.
